Our Mission

LPAPA's mission is dedicated to painting the landscape, preserving Laguna's artistic heritage and legacy, and promoting the plein air painting tradition.

LPAPA enhances the visibility and livelihood of its artist members and our Art Colony community through the prestigious Laguna Beach Plein Air Painting Invitational, juried gallery and online exhibitions, special events, and education programs. LPAPA provides business development and management consultation for its professional, emerging and student artist members. LPAPA's mission is furthered through alliances with complementary arts organizations, the community, mentoring and scholarships, and The Plein Air Project, LPAPA’s multi-generational education program dedicated to supporting today’s artists and inspiring the the future generation of plein air painters.

As a nonprofit, LPAPA relies on the support of its Members, Collectors, Patrons, Sponsors and Community to sustain, grow and further its Mission. LPAPA seeks to connect plein air painters world-wide!
